HOW WE DETECT AND HANDLE VIOLATIONS
Manychat takes a multi-layered approach to keeping the platform safe.
Automated detection
Manychat operates automated systems to detect and respond to policy violations, including spam, phishing, fraudulent payment activity, and other prohibited behavior. Flagged accounts are reviewed by our dedicated trust and safety team, who determine the appropriate enforcement action.
Human review
Accounts flagged by automated systems are reviewed by Manychat's anti-fraud team. No action is taken without sufficient evidence of a violation and complex cases are escalated to senior specialists. Manychat also works directly with Meta's platform integrity teams on severe cases.
Enforcement actions
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, Manychat may:
- issue a warning or in-product notice
- restrict specific messaging channels
- temporarily suspend your account
- permanently ban your account and any associated accounts
- refer the matter to law enforcement where required or appropriate
- notify Meta, TikTok, or other platform partners
HOW TO REPORT A VIOLATION
If you've encountered a Manychat-powered chatbot or automation that you believe is violating this policy, please report it using our Abuse Report Form.
Abuse Report Form: https://manychat.com/security/abuse-report
To help us investigate quickly, include as much of the following as you can:
- the name or URL of the account or bot involved
- a description of what happened (e.g. spam messages, phishing attempt, abusive content)
- screenshots or recordings of the interaction
- the date and approximate time of the incident
- your contact details (optional, but helpful for follow-up)
What happens after you submit
Once we receive your report, we will:
- acknowledge receipt if you've shared your contact details
- review the reported account or content against this policy and our Terms of Service
- take enforcement action if a violation is confirmed
- let you know the outcome where possible, subject to any confidentiality obligations we owe to account holders
UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
Manychat may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at manychat.com/legal/aup. Continued use of the platform following any update means you accept the revised policy.
