The Tin Shed is a Michigan based furniture redesigning company that was started by owner and artist Tammy Fiddie. She specializes in making old, outdated furniture like new again by restyling it to fit today's design needs. Tammy was a single mom with three kids and had to find ways to make her house beautiful on a slim budget. So, she began finding inexpensive items (sometimes free on the side of the road) that she could transform with a little time and some creative imagination. It wasn’t until a few years ago that she decided to try and sell a piece of furniture she redesigned, just for the fun of it. Tammy quickly realized the demand for her product and talent, and after a year of selling as a hobby, she decided to leave her corporate job to start her full-time business. In the summer of 2016, Tammy joined four other local ladies with similar talents, and Walnut Street Marketplace was formed. The Marketplace is a unique shopping venue in downtown Howell, MI where the five ladies showcase their redesigned furniture and home décor in a large warehouse space. In addition to the Marketplace, Tammy is branching out into a line of eCourses that will teach others how to properly refinish their own furniture pieces and will also include a FREE DIY section on her website.
