Huli Boys

In the 1850's, when Hawaii was still called the Sandwich Islands, my great, great, great grandfather Thomas Karren went to the Big Island, and Maui to work and serve as a missionary. Much later, my parents lived in Hawaii after World War II at Pearl Harbor where my dad served in the Navy. When I was trying to convince my then girl friend Carisa to give up San Diego and move to Utah marry a Utah native, I promised her we'd go to Hawaii every year as a family for vacations. True to my word, we've spent more than 20 years exploring, diving, hiking, surfing, beach bumming, kayaking, nature walking, eating and relaxing on the Hawaiian Islands for family vacations. We love spending time on the Big Island, Kauai, Maui, and frankly anywhere we can go that's out there in the middle of the blue, blue, Pacific Ocean! With family ties to the Islands going back 4 generations, and after many years of Hawaii and ocean fun as a family, we decided it was time to share some of that experience with our friends back in Utah. Thus was born the idea for a mobile Shave Ice trailer that could deliver an authentic Hawaiian vacation experience. We hope we can come find you soon and share some Hawaiian aloha!
