Remi Bader’s Rise as an Unapologetic Icon

We are low-key obsessed with Remi Bader.

Model? Check. Inclusive? Check. Gorgeous? Check. Business-minded? Check. Comedic? Check. Realistic? Check. Unapologetic? Check.

The fashion influencer genre is wildly popular right now, and you might think the Kardashians are in charge, but WE think Bader is coming in at a really close second.

It takes legitimate skill to make everyone who crosses your path think, “I would totally be friends with her.” It’s an ability that Bader has mastered.

Before we tell you more about her, we have to confess that we’re all really giddy around here because she’ll be speaking at the Instagram Summit by Manychat in October!

The fully virtual summit is designed to give you actionable step-by-step strategies and resources from the folks who have mastered Instagram content creation. Bader is one of the people who will be sharing their methods and tools to give you all of the shortcuts you need. Why limp along with a learning curve when you can get the tea straight from those who are slaying?

From model to Forbes 30 Under 30

If you aren’t familiar with Bader, that’s sad, let’s fix that.

Here is a quick summary of her style of content — she’s most famous for her “realistic hauls” where she doesn’t show off some expensive outfit she just ordered to make you feel poor, instead she shows exactly how specific designers of all price points fit on curvy girls:

Her approachability has garnered her millions of followers across all social media platforms, and she serves as a legitimate inspiration because of that approachability. She has carefully curated her content to make every human feel welcomed and seen, instead of the classic superiority move models typically take.

We can’t wait to learn from her at the Summit about how she has leveraged her influence to guide new influencers and fashion brands alike, because her impact is already so prominent that she was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in 2023. That’s a huge deal.

She has cultivated a relatable vibe by offering people extreme transparency — not just about how clothing fits on her body, but about her fitness journey, her dating life, her mental health, even her medical treatments. That transparency has touched an incalculable number of lives.

Bader uses humor throughout her content, but like any model, she is targeted with unsolicited negative commentary. What we love about Bader’s “f*ck it” attitude is that she has earned so much loyalty and it has empowered her audience to feel so connected to her that they are usually the ones who respond to the negativity. Likely before she even sees it. Talk about audience engagement!

Just watching that — it’s hard not to immediately feel like you’re in her corner.

More than Just a Content Creator

Besides the fact that she has absolutely EARNED her way into our hearts and minds, we’re excited to learn from her at the Summit because she’s quickly becoming a business powerhouse.

For example, Bader has worked with Victoria’s Secret to help the brand shift their size options to be more inclusive (because it’s not enough to just say you sell all sizes – they have to actually fit).

More recently, she has collaborated with Revolve to launch their first extended-size collection with sizes from XXS to 4X. The goal of the line is to encourage people of all sizes to “discover the fun in fashion and empowers them to feel like their most fierce and confident selves, smashing the idea that being trendy and fashionable should be confined to a particular size range.” She traveled extensively with their team and says they’ve been extremely receptive to her input. In other words, it’s not just a quick brand collab, it’s deeper.

Bader’s commitment to making fashion inclusive is already unique, but her humorous approach makes it distinctively fun for anyone of any size. And it holds fashion brands accountable in a new way by demonstrating the fit instead of demonizing the designers. Refreshing.

Learning from Bader at the Summit

As previously mentioned, we’re kind of fangirling over here about Bader speaking at the Instagram Summit by Manychat this fall. She’s earned successful brand partnerships, battled content creation burnout, provided an unapologetic light in what can be a very dark corner of social media, and been an example of transparency. Plus she’s freakin’ hilarious.

Bader and others will be teaching us all about audience growth, monetization, and about the algorithm changes on the platform lately.

Instagram has grown exponentially in recent years, making it such an amazing opportunity for content creators. But this also means more noise. Experts like Bader will be holding our hands at the Summit to help each of us figure out how to cut through that noise.

For example, everyone is talking about how AI is being used to automate a lot of the processes (ahem, like Manychat), and it can be overwhelming because it’s new. So experts like Bader will be sharing their real world case studies in how they are so productive, how they rise above the noise, and how they provide consistently high quality content. So high quality that brand partners are knocking on their doors.

IGSxM will feature speakers like Hank Green, Janesha Moore, Jenna Kutcher, Amberlea Henriques, Brock Johnson, Marina Mogilko, Mike Yan, and so many more. We weren’t joking about being able to learn from some of the most high profile creators in the game!

IGSxM is 100% virtual, there are networking opportunities (even live Q&As with some of the speakers, so you might get to interact with your favorite creators!), and tickets are really inexpensive — so snag yours today and come learn from folks like Bader. Just seeing her speak is well worth the tiny ticket price (told you we’re fangirling)!

We cannot WAIT to see what she wears to the Summit!
